Default RCA adapter plug

I just saw this on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=42612

What kind of signal quality can I expect from this guy? I haven't seen this before and it definitely looks like an option apart from upgrading my deck just to get a set of RCA's. Plus, I don't want to buy a line level converter. This appears to be similar but a plug and play sort. Any feedback here much appreciated

i wouldn't recommend one of those because you won't get as good of sound quality as compared to an amp using High Level inputs.....High level inputs are like having a Line Level Converter built right in to your amplifier and built to couple with whatever amp it is in......all you'll have to do to get signal to the amp is piggyback into your rear speaker wires and run the new ones to the High Level inputs on your amp...

note: not all amps have high level inputs, if you haven't bought an amp yet, find on that does have HLI....

Nothing wrong with using a Line out converter, no need to even pull the HU during the install.

for the stock stereo, and stock speaker set up, you aren't going to notice any reduction of sound quality if you use one of these...unless of course your superman and can hear a grandma in trouble screaming half-way around the world. I have one and being able to push most of the bass (if not all) through it and not the stock speakers makes a world of difference. IMO actually extended the life of my stock speakers (in terms of needing replacement cause I was sooo annoyed by their horrible sound quality prior to installing this converter and adding an amp & sub.)
