I've seen people re-upholster the fabric on the door panels... and I've got some questions.

1. Do you put whatever fabric you want OVER the existing material? If not, how do you strip it down to the plastic?

2. If you can strip it down to the plastic, how hard would it be to sand it down and paint it your color of choice?


Also, if somebody's alrady done this, or plans to, a DIY with lots o' pics would be righteous.

 

most people take the old stuff off. some die it white or black but that doesnt look very good. alot of people fiberglass it and paint just like the outside of the car!
