Rear View Camera Install?
So I have done some researching but cannot find anything.
Can someone who has already installed a rear view camera help me with my install.
Here is what I have...
-Kenwood DDX6019 HU
-ebay purchased rear view camera
I want to have the camera setup in a way that it is always on and I can just switch to that view while driving or reversing and see the picture. So I need the camera to be on all the time.
Can someone tell me, who has done this, what power source to use. I figured maybe the radio would work but i already have a lot going through the radio.
Basically if anyone who has done this can help that would be great!
Thanks in advance!

if you are going to put the camera in the rear wiper hole, just use the power / ground wires that would have been going to the rear wiper assembly. Probe the harness for 12v+ and ground, and hook that up to your camera. then turn the "wiper" power on at the controll stalk and leave it on = camera on all the time
The good thing about doing it that way is that your wires are already run, and you have a switch in the steering colum if you wanted to turn it off at some point.

There are two blank fuse spots under the dash bottom half either side of center bottom row. The right side is on all the time and the left side goes on with the key accessory and ignition positions. If you can figure out how to connect to the back side of the panel let me know - I didn't want to try to pull it out to see what was back there - I just plugged in spade connectors and ran inline fuses. BE CAREFUL with the one that is ON all the time . . . ask me why?
