Default Recommendations For InDash CD/DVD/Monitor

I'm looking for an indash cd/dvd/monitor setup. I was told Kenwood makes a nice one. What do you recommend?

Personally, I like Pioneer's, Alpine's, and Eclipse's offerings. Give us some type of budget so we could recommend a line for you.

I am a Alpine Dealer, but I would have to say that Eclipse has some of the best units to offer. Look to spend, but I think that it will be worth it.

You have several options. Possibly my favorite would be Alpine's IVA D300. I like how the menus aren't real deep and user intensive to navigate. Makes using while driving fairly easy. I also like the pulse touch, which, coincidentally, makes said navigating while driving easier.

In my tC I have the Pioneer AVIC-N1. DVD/TV/MP3/NAV/XM/iPOD....I have had it for about 4 months now. It is F'n great. Took about 4 hrs to install (for clean look). It even tells you your velocity, slope, G's (in a turn) exceration rate.....It does it all. And it is just about what you want to spend. I have had Pioneer stuff for many years now, I am very pleased by them.

1500? I'd hit up that Eclipse... AVN 5435 I think it's called? After a little digging you could probably find it around that price.

That's if you want navigation... they have cheaper units that don't have navigation but from what I understand are just as good.

Top of the line stuff man, from everything I've experienced. I'm planning on getting the AVN this summer.

I have a Pioneer AVIC-N1 in my xB and a Kenwood KVT910DVD in my Protege 5 and I love both units. Both companies make awesome units in my opinion. But that is my opinion. Since it is your money i say go test every brand you possibly can and come to your own conclusion.

I just installed the Kenwood DDX 7015 in my tC and I LOVE it. I suggest the Kenwood for sure!!! Ive never seen the Eclipse so I cant say that it isnt as good, Im sure it is. I thought about getting the Eclipse but it was just not in my budget range. Plus I have no need for a NAV system. Ill try and post pics tomorrow if i get a min.
