Default Remote start and shock sensor upgrade for Scion Security ---

Hello all! I have Scion Security in my autoBox, and although I understand it is not the best that can be had it is what is.

A friend of mine with an is300 introduced me to Luxury MotorWorks when he showed me the remote start upgrade that they sell for Lexus and after meeting with LMW was happy to hear that he was interested in providing same for Scions.

So, now, with my factory key fob and Scion Security I now have remote start that I think is really cool as well as a shock sensor that is user tuneable and doesn't require a thief to actually be driving away with my xB before I hear an alarm! :D

I understand this is not the paging/remote/infra-red/pit-bull/laser detection system hooked into an orbiting satellite type system, but I didn't want to have to sport a new key fob, it is stock looking and could (in the near future) be plug and play. The install is near stock in look and clean!

Anyway, thanks to Luxury MotorWorks in Monrovia, CA! Steve and Jason are great guys and have an awesome rep with the Lexus set. They have opened a great new shop and really care about their customers. It would be cool to see them do more work on Scions.

Howdy! The cost for each is $150.00. It was worth it to me to keep the factory keyfob and the shock sensor works so much better than the factory security.

There was some research/testing involved so, LMW did some fine-tuning on top of the physical install.

Luxury MotorWorks wants to do more installs and hopefully develop more Scion specific mods. Ask for Steve or Jason there, the number is 626/256-4849.

What do you press to start your car (remote start)? I wonder if I can put these add-ons to my lojack alarm system...

To activate remote start I just press a combination of the lock and unlock buttons.

It's really cool to see it come on like that and have the a/c making the interior cooler than not ( I do wish there was an upgrade for the a/c to be stronger! ) Otherwise, everything else is just like stock. I guessing it would work with Lojack installed, but LMW or ScionSpecialistsLasVegas would know better...

Damn, you Cali guys get all the goods first. It would be awesome to have remote start out here in Maryland in the winter! It sucks freezing your **** off, running outside in your slippers to warm it up.

Futureicon, would you mind giving LMW a call? I was told that this could be a plug and play type of thing (and who wouldn't love that!) I think Steve at LMW just needs to know if he should develop it that much further. He originally told me that the remote starter and the shock sensor ideally, could be done by anyone and if it is as simple as what I saw him doing that isn't too far from the truth!

I totally forgot about you real weather folks out thar! A toasty box on a freezing morning let alone a warmed up engine would probably help make things less of an ordeal...don't get much weather out here in the 323.

Sciontuner, damn! You have no idea how much ___ remoteStart kicks...pretty cool.
I have to tell you tho' I'm just relating my experience and the info on this, not really starting a list...

Would you mind giving LMW a call? Like I said above: Luxury MotorWorks wants to do more installs and hopefully develop more Scion specific mods (he's got some really cool performance mods that seem like they would be tailor made for Scions.) Ask for Steve or Jason there, the number is 626/256-4849.

Please call him because I want what I saw! :D
