Default Replacing components

To those that have replaced the speakers in the front doors. Did you just drill out the rivets? I fo so what did you use to put things back in place? I am just wondering the best way to go about this.

I actually took a screw driver and wire snips and bent and cut those little SOBs off. Those were the biggest pains in the neck. I found some Toyota Brackets I used that fit my 6.5 and I took some screws and screwed it into the holes that were pre drilled.

"Toyota brackets"?? Care to explain. I got my subs in and these factory comps just are not getting it. I got my CDTs ready and waiting but I want to be sure there is a way to mount them.

Yea brackets for Toyota car speakers. They look similar to these from crutchfield only I got mine at Circuit City.

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-QXO7vrs...toyota+bracket

It made it easier than creating my own bracket.

I called my Bestbuy and they said they didn't but they also sounded like they had no clue what I was talking about. You can try your neighborhood one though. Im sure one or the other will have it.

They didn't have them. Said that they have to order things like that in. That sucks, looks like I have to get them from Crutchfield. That is of course unless someone else has done this some other way.

That sucks. I guess it is hit or miss with certain places. You can make your own. Some people have used MDF. That is if you have anything to cut a hole out with. You could probably even use thick plexi glass and cut the center out.
