Cages should only be for full on racing. For the street maybe a couple of hoops. Make sure the bends aren't crush bent, and use the proper tubing as prescribed by the SCCA.

The above pic is not functional as the rear bends have no support what so ever and will bend in case of a rollover.

Cages also add weight and when properly designed, you need to be a contortionist to get in.

The high on scion cage appear to be for looks also.

Cages are expensive, and weight quite a bit.
