Tried doing a search both on here and in my manual...but couldn't seem to find any info.

I have the text feature with my XM radio, however it only displays the first 10 or so characters for the song or artist name. I had a similar feature in my SVTF where it would scroll the entire name if it exceeded the number of characters on the LED screen. How can I get the text to scroll on the RS 3.0 radio? I'm usually really good at figuring this stuff out, but this issue has me absolutely stumped.

the answer is: no go. The manual for the stereo (on page 43) has a notice that says "NOTICE: The Channel Name, Song Name or Artist Name can contain up to 10 characters". If anyone finds a way around this, please post!

 

Ahhh...thanks for the link. Whoever decided to NOT put a scrolling text feature on this radio needs a swift kick to the crotch. Seriously...how many song titles and artist names out there are 10-characters or less.

 

ESPECIALLY, the ones you like and u wanna write them down or what not.

 

Hold down the TEXT button for a few seconds and it will show the next 10(?) characters. That is how it is on my xA head unit. I am not sure if it is same one as you're talking about.

 

That only works in cd or IPOD mode. Doesn't do a dern thing in Sat mode. boo hoo.
