Default RS3.0 monitors problem and resolution

Not sure if this info has been posted before, so I apologize in advance if this is a repost, but I just solved a problem with my headrest monitors that others may experience. I recently started getting some bad squealing from my headsets, so I replaced the batteries in the headsets-- it did not make it better, if possible it was worse. Then I happened to notice that both of my monitors were set to broadcast on channel A. (When turned on, they both would indicate that you were to set your headsets to channel A). I know that previously the driver side was set to channel A and the passenger was set to channel B. I don't know how the passenger side got set to A, but by broadcasting both on the same channel it was causing some wicked interference. Yes, the first thing I did was RTFM, but the manual was silent on the subject except to say that the driver side should be A and passenger side should be B-- no info on how to change.
I found out that if you press and hold the menu button for five seconds (don't let up!), you get a sub-menu with various options. One of the options is to set the transmission channel for the monitor. Once you get the submenu up, press the menu button to scroll from item to item on the menu, then use the up/down arrows to change the settings.
One of the other settings you can access is "SCREEN", which sets the power-up mode for the monitor when system power is turned on.
• ‘AUTO’ - While in this mode the monitor will resume the last state it was in when the system
power was last turned off.
• ‘ON’ - When system power is turned on, the monitor will always turn on.
• ‘OFF’ – When system power is turned on, the monitor will always remain off. The monitor
must be turned on manually using the power button on the monitor or remote.
Hope this info helps someone!
