i got an 05 xa, and the alarm they sent me is apparently for an 06. only one clip is different, the 14pin connector is an 18 pin on the 06. its the one under the drivers side kick panel, the top smaller plug on the white bracket. so my question is, if you could provide me a diagram showing what each wire was for, i could probably wire it up so that only the 4 extra wires(which i assume are 2 power and 2 ground for the mirriors turn signals) wont be hooked up.

right now it will only unlock within 3-5 seconds of arming the alarm(after that nothing). and it will not arm unless the door is locked then shut, and it wont go off if you tap it or open the door with the key.........help anyone? i already tried looking through the wiring diagrams but they are no help

there were 2 diff alarms one for with steering wheel audio controls and without. you need the one with out.

ihatemyxa, I ran into the same problem when I was installing it the other day on my wife's 2005 Gen1 Red ltd Scion XA . At the time of purchase didn't even know that that same connector was different. Checked manuals installation instructions for 04 http://trdsparks.com/install/08586-52970inst.pdf (page 7 (14P connector)) and 06 http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/sk...6_xa_alarm.pdf (page 6 18P Looking for solution (other than selling this one and buying one that fit) as well. Thanks.
