Can I just buy the bazooka RS8A-HP and the OE wire harness for the tC and hook it up? The RS8A has the same dimensions just a better 300w amp for more bump. Anyone know if this can be done? Thanks all. deeBO

I just purchased a new xB in BSP off the lot and opted to not get the installed Bazooka to save some cash. They removed the sub and the Bazooka wiring harness before I took delivery. It was an easy choice for a couple of reasons:

1. It's a lot of cash for the sub and

2. because I bought a demo model, I was able to get a screaming deal on a car with Hotchkiss brace, full leather interior and Motegi wheels with z-rated Yokohamas and

3. I already have a like-new Bazooka EL11(?) sitting in my garage leftover from my Porsche

Now, I'd like to install my EL11. I'll order one of the harnesses above to make it plug and play. But can anyone tell me where the sub's wiring harness connects to the speaker plug? and can anyone tell me what the best routing for the sub harness is? I looked under the rear seats and couldn't find a spot where it had traveled under the carpet, if that's what the harness does.

Please help!

Cheers!

i read all the comments and was wondering is it best to do it all your self were you have to get a positive wire run all the way to your battery and then get a the amp and all the conections coming from the sterio and the speakers. or just to by the scion stock wiring harnes and then connect that to the stario and hook that to the amp and the subss i need help people.............. :?:

I found under the passenger side lower trim a nice channel with plastic clips that worked well for my 8AWG run from the back seat to under the dash board. I then ran it out the firewall with the orginal wire harness and added a grommet for protection.

:D Gotta Love the search function...

I just purchased the Bazooka EL8A yesterday at Circuit City for $99 and was just about to grab my drill bit and solder like no tommorrow until I found this thread.

Ordered the part from my dealership in Hollywood, FL and they said it would be in Wed. - but of course with the good comes the bad - I called subsequent dealers and besides price mark-ups from $57.68 - $82.68 they claimed it would take weeks for them to get it from Japan..so If that's the case I'll just return this tube and save up to get a better one.

I beg to differ! My setup with the Dual 2x 10" speaker enclosure and a VR3 sub amp was $170 and it will move your hair in the driver's seat...and I'm a brother!

Default Anything you want

I bought a Audioban powered sub not thinking about the stock stero and if it had rca outputs. i bought the harness and i had a co-worker just hook it up. so what im saying is that you can have any speaker or amp hooked up to this harness not just the bazooka.

LOL. That's funny.
Same here. I was just loading a Napalm aerosol into my Flame-thrower as I clicked on this thread... Lucky I read past the title.

I have a 06 xB. I bought the bazooka sub at Circuit City for $105.00 including the tax. Bought the factory harness from a deal up north for $65 including the shipping. The harness came with an very detailed instruction booklet. Me and a friend completed the install in about 1.5 hours. Routing the wires was really easy. The xB platic trim snapped out and in easily and was very tight after reinstalling it. Had to cut the gain to about 3/4 to get it to sound even with the other speakers. Cut the bass on the head unit back to zero (0), this will save your factory speakers becuase the sub is now doing the low tones. The final product sounded very good. Lots of bass, but not competition bass, just real good even sound. Adds the low end that is missing. I was very pleased.

Quick question,

I just installed everything yesterday, and surprise, no sound from the sub. The harness has a small blue and red wire with a Molex clip on the and and a little tag that say Remote Power on Option 1 or 2. I can't see where these plug in and am pretty sure that's whats causing my problem. Any suggestions???

Thanks
