Default SCION SECURITY NOT WORKING PROPERLY, NEED HELP.

About a week ago. I parked my 2005 Scion RS 2.0 and turned off the engine. At the time the engine turned off my horn activated for the period normal to the activation and deactivation of the Alarm. Also the Alarm activation light is always on, it no longer turns off when it is deactivated and no longer blinks when activated. The Light just continues to stay on.

Normal activity for this system is lights coming on when deactivated and horn beeps twice. When alarm is activated the vehicle beeps once and shows its lights once.

My brother has the theory that it is the alarm running out of battery.

If anyone knows the about the problem and the fix for the problem please let me know. I would like to fix it as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Default valet switch...

it could be that the valet program has been activated...that would usually deactivate the vehicles alarm system, for example you're working on your car the car won't alarm itself and keep coming on...try depressing the valet swicth once and see if it starts blinking again, then try the alarm out...hope that's the prob

That is what did it. It has been a while since I used that switch...I just forgot that it was there.

It is now fixed...thanks again.
