I just installed my RS3200 plus i ordered from scion parts people, its one hell of a good security system, it even makes my pyle head unit and tv anti theft ( before it wasnt ) and i love the beeping noise i get when i lock and unlock, its so different from my prius which doesnt have any noise to alert you when you lock or unlock, it took me a few hours to install ( i wanted to do it as neat as possible , plus it was 95 degrees here so that didnt help ) but this thing rocks.

ya it was 251 with shipping 274, installation was a breeze sometimes, considering im 104 yrs old, it was hard getting behind the drivers side junction block to plug those darn wires in.

How does this security system differ from the dealer installed keyless entry security offered as an option on new scions (I believe it is $499 installed).

Good question.. I'm thinking about getting the Scion Security myself...

the 499 dollar option i think is the RS3200, because i went there asking for them to just buy the part and they said they dont sell it only part and installation for 499.
