Default Seat troubles in the xB....solution maybe?

Well only about 300 miles on my xB,and I am really not happy how the seats "sit",almost like your sitting on a flat cushy bench.I was thinking about putting some shims, washers etc under the front mounts of the seats to add a bit more of a pitch to the,ah how can I say it,what the hell, make your ___ sit a little deeper towards the back end of the seats.Anyone having the same problems?I'm not a huge person,6 feet tall,180 pounds, but just feel a little uncomfortable of the angle in the dangle of the front seats.----Eric

you get use to it, I think its fine, i'm 6 foot 16o lbs, I guess after 12000 miles its ok. I was thinking about sparco seats thought, does anyone think I can fit some in the back(replace the bench) without using ANY of the cargo space, check my pics to see why

I know what you mean. First car mod I ever did was to get some longer bolts for the front seat anchors and stack about 3/4" worth of washers in between the floor and the seat bracket to get some pitch.

Did the mod months ago and love the hell out of the seats now!!! Start at 1/2 inch and increase to your liking. Instead of washers use oversize nuts (haha) that the bolts pass through and just take the org. bolts to match the size and increase length accordingly. Very cheap mod and will make a huge difference

Yes, the Washers rule. (the over sized nuts are on top of the seat )

We'll have to add this mod to the Tech Section.

Do not buy the cheapest bolt you can find. You do not want these bolts to shear off in the event of a collision.

Yeah, get grade 8 (or stronger if there is such a thing)
