So I have a single din headunit, and I was thinking about turning the bottom din into a switchplate for my lighting, and bassknob... has anyone done this already? I'm trying to figure out what my best method would be, but I don't wanna be without my HU for very long, so yea.

joe did somthin similar awhile ago. I would cut and finish a piece of plexi. if its removable it will be easier to modify electrical stuff

I'll probably give that a shot, and I think I'll buy another dash kit to play with, so I don't have to worry about tearing my dash apart until it's ready to go.

 

I would by the Schosch (or how ever its spelled) single din install kit at Wally world for like $15 and than grab a thin sheet of aluminum or what ever material you like and either glue than bondo/paint it to match.

I guess it works in my head.

Ugh, I wish. Works been busy, then I've been working on my roommate's intercooler piping, helping my other roommate build a computer, not to mention make time for my girlfriend...
