Hi all:

This is my first post . I bought a 2005 xB that had been in an accident. My mechanics have pored over the vehicle trying to get that srs light to go off without success. They have changed the clock spring, adjusted the seat belt tensioners, etc. and have told me that all the codes are clear. They are baffled as to why the light will not go out. I trust these guys. They have a great reputation. Does anyone have any idea as to why that light would stay on?

PPS I read on another unrelated site that it could be a "malfunction stored in memory". Is that possibly the case here? Woudn't there be a code for that? Also, is there any connector near the washer reservoir that could have gotten wet when/if the reservoir broke in the crash thus causing a circuit malfunction? There is also an aftermarket ignition installed without keyless remote.
