Starter Kill Wire Location
I spent 20 min. or so searching and got tired of mining through the posts so I thought I'd just ask. I've installed the alarm in my xB, took about three hours including locating the tools my son runs off with
Everything went smooth, really prettty easy if you take your time and don't mind contorting in under the dash with sweat running into your eyes. The only thing I'm not sure of is which wire to cut in the ignition harness to wire in the start kill. I'm looking at two blacks and a black yellow, all are associated with the iginition/starter, but I'm not clear which is the correct one. Any help?
You need to test the black wires the wire that reads 12 volts only when the key is cranking the starter as soon asyou release the key and car is running the wire will drop 12 volts, the other black wire is your ignition wire
