Default Steering wheel question

On the way home from the dealer I noticed when driving straight down the interstate the top of the center section of the wheel is not level (tilted to the left) is this normal?

Do you have the leatehr steering wheer? I got the leather wheel and apparently when my dealer installed, they installed it one spline (it has teeth where it fits on the steering column) off the center. This may be the issue

just call and tell the dealer, if it is wrong, it is under warrantly, maybe the alignment is screwed up

This is a very common complaint. it's in all of the cars. About 5 degrees to the left. This one needs a recall if you ask me.

WHy would they put out a recall for a minor adjustment. Recalls are for safety issues, not cosmetics...

it wasn't on my car. and some are tilted to the right. i think it's caused in shipping when they tie down the cars.

Yeah, well, at least a TSB.

A TSB serves the same purpose, and neither is needed for an adjustment of the steering wheel.

Mine is also. I took it to the dealer and they did an alignment and it was still the same. I had done a post on this before and someone suggested telling the dealer to do some type of adjustment to the steering wheel. I'm fine with it because the car doesn't pull to either side and that was my main concern.

Took mine to the dealer yesterday and the took it and moved it over. It just became worse in the other direction. They told me to bring it back this morning which I have and they will give it an alignment to fix the problem. It should be fixed when I pick it up today. They gave me a Corolla (Granny car ) for a loanner. I asked for a spider or celica (you newver know they might have one) but they didn't have one of those as a lonner. Oh well beggers can't be chosers and it's just 5 miles to work and back from there.

Okay, so now that you've gone out of your way to debunk my opinion, you must have a better answer....how about a legitimate answer to the question? A misaligned steering wheel is a safety issue...and there are TSB's on fixing buzzes and rattles (does that make them recalls?), they are hardly safety issues.
