i've found many posts regarding replacing the head unit in the dash and which kit to use and so on. the only problem is none seem to be recent. has anyone used these parts in their setup:

several posts talked about a kit coming out for the tC, but these were posted several months ago. is this the kit they were refering to? this one says that it is adjustable so the door doesn't hit the faceplate.

If you look under "reviews" on the crutchfield website for the adapter brackets, you will see that it does fit the tC....

 

The harness is correct to.

 

If you order a receiver through them they will give you everything you need including that kit, the wiring and adapters, master sheets that show how to pull apart your particular car model. I just installed mine last Monday.
The scion kit is a universal. some tabs will have to be removed depending on if you're installing on the tC, xA, or xB. The wiring adapter/harness was extremely easy.
