my brain seem to not want to work at the moment

Hold the A (audio) button - turn key to ACC. Bottom bar flashes on head unit. Release A and hold down M (mute) - mute flashes. Turn key OFF. The custom text area will now flash each letter. Use volume UP and DOWN to change letter/character - use A to select that letter - use M to delete letter. Hold A when done.
May have to repeat the process to complete the text ... there's a time out that it will allow editing (30 seconds?).
