Sub Disappointment
So a friend and I spent a couple hours getting my subs and everything finished and completely set up.. only to find one of the subwoofers is blown. Ugh. The amp isn't giving us quite what we need either.. so I'll probably end up getting a new amp before I get a new sub. I'm satisfied we at least got everything connected and set up right, but really bummed that I'm not getting the sound I want, and with only one sub.
Are there any recommendations as far as amps go? I'd appreciate it, thanks.
-Anybody happen to have any 12" Pioneers laying around (I'd prefer they're not blown too ;) )? Or a good amp?
Not for free of course.

I'm not the one who adjusted anything, but the amp is kind of funny to the point when you try to give them more power than they have right now, the push goes away. He adjusted it the best he could but he still would like to get a different amp. He has his set up perfect, they sound awesome, so it's not all operator error.
Does the gain on the converter need to be adjusted at all too? They were set to negative before connecting everything but I don't think he touched them after that.
Pardon me for not knowing a whole lot about anything, I'm still learning.
Edit: Oh yeah.. a bridge on the amp was broken too, he said.

I needed to slow down on the price I was paying for things, so i ended
up getting a power acoustik two channel Amp. For about $100 from
Car Domain. I used a bridged two channel for 250 watts to power my
10" infinity sub. I have been nothing but pleased with the power for the
cash. The sound is fantastic and I have had no problems going on my
second year.

I say take it to a professional and second opinion and have the amp adjusted. The slightest miscalculation can mess it up bad and make it seem like it's blown, etc.
What pioneer suds are u running, and in what kinda box??
And thanks Rigley.
