And very deserving so that was a very nicely done interior. His XB overall was amazing.

O I know you weren't downgrading I was just making sure people know that reason I quoted so high on price is b/c it was real suede. Didn't want people to think that's what it took to get that done. You can definatly get it done for cheaper.

Yeah, in most cases, real suede is about twice as expensive as faux suede. It is also not as easy to work with, for the un-experienced. What it boils down too is, if you are just compleltely not sure if you can handle the job, then it is best to let a professional do it, but if you are the type that likes a cahllenge, and likes to try stuff on your own, then most interior work can be done yourself...just need patience!

Hotbox, last time I checked alcantra is about $130.00 a yard so those would be some really expensive seats

wow i cant believe ive missed all these post.. thanks for all the comments

lemme see if i can answer ur questions

the "suede" was actually purchased at my local walmart. it is a cheapy type suede but as u can tell it looks nice. i paid like $6.50 a yard for it so i figured it was worth it

its layed down with a high tack spray adhesive.

there are 2 seams.. one seam goes from the passenger speaker grill down under my autometer gauges then to the factory cluster. it continues across to the other dip in the dash to the other speaker grill.

i didnt wanna cover the airbag for safety reasons since the fabric would probably hinder the function of the bag. i do have intentions of stitching a cover together to go over the factory cluster shroud.

it took me all day to do so i wouldnt suggest a DIY for this one.. i had to hit my mom up for her sewing skills to get the dips right. its still not perfect but im living with it.

i have full intentions on covering all the pillars and the headliner with the same stuff.. im not sure if i want to go with a suede or alacantara since im afraid of the wear n tear my rearend will put onto the fabric since its my daily driver.

let me know if i missed anything.. im tired since ive been up since 7am saturday morning and its now 1230pm sunday afternoon.
