try "searching" for the speaker sizes. Maybe hit a best buy or circuit city or ? and have them install it for you. I bought a h/u on sale and while they had a free install thing going on.

the dash speakers are like a 3.x" but i would just get a component set and mount the tweeters somewhere else...

You could shove the tweeters in the dash spots. I'd rig up some little thing to aim them at your head a bit. The dash tweeters seem to fire up straight. It's probably not that hard. You could rig the component crossover up somewhere inside the dash.... I say this like i've done it.

Man, we need a sticky for the speaker sizes and whatnot for the xB.

check out some of the other threads in this forum. There is a LOT of chat going on right now about speaker sizes and head units. Lotsa good info in those threads.

even if you don't aim the tweets towards you, the sound will bounce off the windshield, right?

My old car (Previa) had reflecting speakers. It worked, but I bet it messes with the sound stage since the reflections probably scatter a lot more than the sound waves coming straight off the speaker will. The previa's windshield was huge and really sloped.
