Default sylvania extra vision bulbs vs silverstar

I put in a new set of the sylvania extra vision halogen bubs that cost 10 dollars instead of the silver stars which cost 40 dollars I really can't tell the diffrence between the two as far as driving is concerned the silverstars seem to have a little bit whiter light but both sets seem to have the same brightness and offer the same visability at night both of tem seem to be alot better than stock. I had silverstars in my other cars and they seemed to burn out kinda fast I wanted to see what everyone elses opions were on headlight bulbs let me know what you think about all the bulbs offered from PIAA to Hella to the les expensive silverstars and extra vison and of course I would love to hear from some HID Xa owners I'd liek to know where the kits are how much they are and how aften you have to change bulbs and are they really worth all that extra money for a look.

silver stars just run hotter which is why they burned out so quick. same reason they were a little brighter. i used to work for sylvania. i inspected the painted directional running lights. yeah your probably better off just using those or a long life bulb setup.

GE Nighthawks were about half the price of the silverstars and produce more white light.
