Default tC XM price drop - $289 now from http://mcgeorgeparts.com

Paul from http://mcgeorgeparts.com informed me that he is having a sale on tC XM kits for $289.00

Get em while they last

Paul is a great guy, btw, he supplied me with install manuals for tC accessories, so if anyone needs em - hit me up. If you are in Atlanta area I can also help you with installs.

P.S. no, i'm not on commission from him - it's just a great price and he is a great guy.

Just curious, has anyone pulled the stock head unit out and taken a look at the back for any sort of inputs? I'm sure I can find it with a search, JasonH, but I was already here and reading this post so dont give me any ____!

Yeah, it dropped in price on Scion's tC configuration page too, from $695? I think to $449 now, yay!

That price difference lets me add in the strut bar ;)

It has proprietary Scion/Pioneer bus inputs ;) And yes - do the search for details.

looks good, let me know in a week or 2 maybe a month to see how the wires are holding up. (Provide pics if you can)

Any time. Too bad I moved from Philly - used to go to Princeton and NYC every weekend.

GA people - if anyone needs help with tC accessories install - I'll help out.

The wire is rubbing against a soft rubber edge guard (or whatever it is), so it would take 10 years+ to wear off. Plus you can put a little black electric tape on the wire where it rubs against the rubber thing to protect it. Will last a lifetime. I played with antenna position, this was attempt no 2:

Attempt no. 1 was *inside* the rear bumper - looked awesome (couldn't see it), but you could only listen to the XM when you are driving north

Zoltiz, do you mind if I ask where you got your antenna from? I really like how yours looks.

It's an xB XM kit I got off eBay (from what turned out to be one of the members here).

I pulled the stock unit out and bought a Pioneer DEH760 and used my XM radio/ip bus system from my Supra. I can easily move the decoder form one car to the other My speakers sound much much better then it did with the stock unit. The standard IP bus does not fit the Scion / Pioneer unit.

Since you know my name, you should also know I have pics of the back of the radio in my Subwoofer/Interior Lighting How-To.

One or both of the connectors on the left are for the XM.
