Default Those Who Have Factory XM Radio.

I just have a few questions.

#1 How many presets can it hold? Only 6 or is there more bands??

#2 How fast is it? As in, how long it takes to tune into a channel once you hit a preset button? My xm commander was almost instant.

#3 Can you preview a channel before you actually tune in?

I think thats about it. Feel free to add comments. Thanks.

Well, im not actually gonna pay for that ____ty system either. I found a way to connect my old Terk XM Commander to the factory headunit, but I want to know if its gonna be worth the trouble. If the headunit sucks for receiving XM info, then I will just connect it normally using fm modulation.

1) what is this way? cuz I've been on the lookout for months amd am in talks with a guy at Blitz to find out when their unit comes out that allows the hookup of a SkiFi or Pioneer Add-On unit to interface with the stereo...

2) with satelite radio you really don't wanna use FM Modulation...it's gonna come out sounding like crappy FM...

well I guess I'm a sucker for buying the XM option uh? but well... to me it was worth it... to answer your question....

it holds 18 presets ( SAT1, SAT2 and SAT3 each one you can set 6 )

it takes a good second to jump from one channel to another... but its not like you have dead silence...

no... you cannot preview the channel...

hope this info helps...

I think that Sirius has better programming, but that is just me. I got the whole setup for about $150 from Car Toys.

Just to inform you guys, XM is coming out with a cable now so you don't have to use your Commander or tuning box. It will plug in right into the head unit. From what I have been told it will work with the stock head unit in the TC.
