Tips for working with fiberglass?
Does anyone have some suggestions, hints, or tricks to share about using fiberglass? I'm looking into building a sub box and some other speaker mounts, and it'd be awesome to have a bit of info before I go waste a ton of expensive supplies.
Thanks in advance,

my suggestions is start with your kicks/door pods those are small and easy to make...then after your comfortable with working with gllass start planning your next project
411 on f/g cloth the lower the oz the easier it is to bend and wrap around curved objects...the smallest oz. I'd ever use would be 4oz....most the F/G cloth you can buy at like walmart, home depot and automotive stores like that is 6oz.
spandex/lycra is your best friend when fabricating it strecths very smooth and doesn't soak up as munch resin as fleece
for large areas you can use nylon rope that is soaked in resin for additional support
another word of advice is don't use cotton or cotton blends unleess you know what your doing...cotton will shrink while the f/g resin is setting
when putting down the f/g cloth and resin dab the brush don't use strokes
if you have any more questions feel free to pm me or just ask
