i just saw a tC today and i noticed there isnt that much trunk space...........i have a 12inch kicker enclosed in a 15 inch box.............do you guys think itll fit w/ the cargo cover on???
also..........i was wondering if its okay to add on an amp and a sub (using a line-out converter ) on the first week of buying the car?....or is this bad? do i have to break in the car before i can install my amp and sub????

As for your box fitting, I am not sure on that part, you could always bring the box with you, or a ruler and measure.
I did a sub install for a Tc owner right from the dealer. She kept the factory radio, but I added a bass ****, high to low convertor and wired up her sub and amp. She was bumping away into the night. The car only had 70 miles on it.

you really don't have to wait to break in the factory sound system... just don't max the settings out... bass all the way up, treble all the way up... etc...
you can get a lot of stuff to fit under there.. but that all depends on the size of the boxes you are going to get...

There is plenty of room on the right hand side of the cargo space.
I personally plan on mounting a 10" or 12" right into the space where SCION dealers install the optional sub.
You will have to tear back the carpeted lining. I don't know what you would really call it. It is the carpeted stuff that covers the area and makes it look nice. Behind this there is a huge open area and nothing but wide open fender space. All you have to do is customize a box that extends into this space or build the box right into the car using fiberglass or thin sheet Pressed Fiberboard. Then to stop your bass from sounding like it is built inside a tin can cover the fender panel with some acoustic material. Of course the system would be ported since you wouldn't be able to full enclose it air tight.
Also they make tons of amps where you don't even have to use High Level input to Low Level input converters. Hook your stock system right up to a HIGH Level input amp and run it in TRI MODE.
