This was a great HOW TO!!!

Installed mine in 1 1/2 hours! Just like mikochu said, the hardest part was the Metal Clip and the Plastic Ring! That alone took abot 25 minutes each!

Other than that, IT WAS A BREEZE! I was a bit confused how the spring should go back on the assembly, but after looking at the tC shifter install I saw what I needed to do.

My hint is to look at the spring before you take it apart! Other than that I can't wait to go do some driving now

Thanks mikochu!!!!!!!!

Oh btw,

I ordered mine from ptuning.com also.

Ordered it on Friday 01/28/05 at 5:06pm and it was at my door the NEXT DAY at 11am!

Cost me $116.00 shipped, it would have been $110.00 but since I live in VA, I was taxed 5%.

I've seen the "RS Type" short shifters on ebay for around $40.00. What is the differenced between these and the ones like you guys installed(twm or trd)? Is it harder to install? Do they suck ___ compared to the others? Which is the best one to get?

Thanks

If i cut the clip off what goes back on to secure it? Or does that clip have to come off the side?

went to Toyota and they cant order me one. If anyone has the "one way washer" that you have to dremel off to tap out the rod that holds the shift stick on ill paypal them some $$. I heard TWM sends you a pair with their shift rod.

Hey there. I've had mine for awhile now and have to do a little fix. When I installed it, the retaining ring that hold the shifter down cracked. I fear that it might pop off, so I'd like to get a new one. Should I go to the dealership? Does anyone know where else I can get one? Should I care? Is the shifter wobbly because I didn't put in aftermarket bushings? I could use a little advise

Ok, so I lost the ability to get into 1st and 2nd last night. I have a temporary fix in place, but i need a new part, the circled part below to be exact.

Anyone know a part number for this? I'd hate to buy the whole cage because I really don't need it all. Any help is greatly appreciated.
