Two Questions : HID kit and Amp question
Hey guys, i have two questions :
1. With a projector headlight kit such as the Anzo (www.namotorsports.net), can i use a 9006 HID kit safely?
2. This question is more involved. I have recently set up my sound system. I ran 4 gauge power wire along the brake lines underneath the car. The ground is bolted down to the floor of the xB pretty close to the amp (left side of trunk). I am getting pretty bad alternator noise through my speakers now...I have 6 RCA's run down the left side of the car as well(under the plastic trim along the doors), so they're far away from the power wires, so i dont think that's the problem really...I dont know enough about troubleshooting these kinds of problems to know how to get around this.
3. (yeah, sorry, there is a 3rd question). I need a flippin' amplifier for my sub that i'm happy with. I wanted to keep wiring simple and tried both a Hifonics Zeus 5.1 and a Pheonix Gold OctaneR 9.0:5 so i only had to deal with one amplifier. Quite honestly, I like the Pheonix Gold except it just doesn't have the punch to push my Diamond Audio D3104 (DVC 4ohm). At lower volumes it's fine, but when i turn it up, it just can't keep up. These are my current choices for amps....
-Diamond Audio D600.1
-Elemental Designs NINe.1
Now i know both of those are overkill for my sub, but i'm absolutely SICK of not having enough power....i dont mind sitting for a half hour tuning the amp to perfection to not feed TOO much power to the sub and blow it up...but i absolutely do not want to deal with having JUST enough power.
I did gain quite a bit of SQ putting the D3 into 8ohm and mounting it inverted in my AudioFormz enclosure.
Anyhow....PLEASE...anyone with suggestions....i'm getting really aggravated here ;)
