i like the tC stock system but I want more bass. I listen to mostly rap. I don't want too much power but a noticable upgrade. I was looking around cardomain.com and I decided http://www.cardomain.com/item/MTXSLHT4510A for the sub and http://www.cardomain.com/item/MTXTA3202 for the amp. I dont know much about audio but can sumeone tell me if this setup will be a good upgrade for the tC stock system. or if you think of a better setup, let me know, im on a low budget so I want to spend only $350.

 

the only problem with that is, that amp is only gonna be pushing 200 watts to that sub......if I were you i'd go for 300 watts....it's a little more than rms handling....but it will get the most out of the sub.....

 

200 is more than enough, unless you're one of those people who like to annoy the whole neighborhood.

 

The difference between 200 Watts and 300 Watts would be not detectable sonically and have little impact on excursion. If you doubled power, you would gain 3dB and excursion would increase 41%.
