USA Spec Ipod
Allright I have one of those usa spec a/v things to hook up my Ipod installed but it does not proide power to ipod. My question is I use a dock connecter to a/v cables to run to the usa spec. Could anyone explain if it would be possible / feasible to get a ipod car charger and somehow re-wire it together with the dock to av cable as to supply power?
I have the USA Spec ipod adapter in my Volvo and it charges the ipod. Are you just running a line out cable to your ipod headphone jack? In the xB, I have the factory ipod pioneer head unit and it is pretty nice. I would just spend the $260 for it if I were you.

Tay have you checked all the possiblities for the ipod accessories, im sure they have some type of dock that supplies power and an audio out, you may have to get a power inverter to fun it cause its made for the home but im pretty sure you can find some application to make it work. How long ago did you buy the usaspec piece, can you still return it. Becaue there are better pieces out there that connect to our radios and allow you to acess and control functions of the ipod thru the radio and best of all charge the ipod too. If you need the model number of this piece let me now.
