Default seat belt warnings - how to delete?

I would like to know how to disable the warning beeps and lights on my 2004 xB.

Yes, I have read the existing posts on this topic. I followed the instructions to disable the beeper: it doesn't work for me. (power on, set ODO display, power off, power on, press reset, ...)

It would really be nice if this were ONLY a technical forum. No one needs the safety warnings (I always use my belt), the cutesy comments, the rants, the off-topic info (horror stories of seat belt injury, air bag injury, etc).

PLEASE, JUST SOME GOOD TECHNICAL INFO! Thanks.
