Default Using Zune with Ipod HU

I got a Zune for Christmas and I am curious if anyone knows of a hack or a way to allow it to work with the Ipod HU to allow song changing through the wheel controls? I am pretty sure this isn't possible but I figured I would ask and see if anyone has seen or heard of a way to get this done. I am currently using the AUX port and that works fine, but I would love the ability to be able to use my steering controls.

And before this devolves into a Zune vs. Ipod thing.. I wanted a Zune becuase I ripped 50gb of music into WMA and didn't feel like dealing with converting all that to an Ipod compatible format.

I would just sell the zune...

But no... the Zune won't work like that.

You know, iTunes can rip everything into a compatible format when you add it to the library... you don't have to do it manually...

I only recently figured out iTunes would auto convert the files. But in the end, the Zune was only $90 for the 30gb model which is way to good of a deal to pass up. I actually don't even have the iPod headunit.. The main reason for the question was if there was a way to make it work with a non-iPod MP3 player, I would look at swapping one into my box.

Thanks for the info tho!

No, there isn't... the Aux will work with anything, but the control off the HU is iPod only.

I hear the Ford Focus works with a Zune if you really want your Zune in the car...

There, I have my Zune, with another long wire that I have go back under the e-brake (it's a long wire,) then into my aux port.

Currently, my Zune is my only source of music, as FM radio sucks here, and Sirius is quite pricey(not to mention I don't appreciate that their customer service reps can read my password off to me in plain text).

Kicker Audio was at the CES 2008, presenting a Zune solution for car audio. They made a interface that takes Toyota/lexus head units and allows you to control the Zune through the HU (as if it were a iPod, I suppose) I'm excited to see what this has to offer.

I have a Zune also, i just use the cigarette plug to charge it and use the AUX port. Wish I could use my Ipod port though.

No just saw a review on it on another site. It is pricey but as of know the only solution out there. I'm sure they'll come down in a bit...
