Default Vent LED Install

Can anyone help me with a "how to" on how to install LED's into my front four vents? I didn't buy them yet because I want to see if it is something I am able to do before I buy and can't return. Thanks!

Those are the same ones I used . It's kinda tricky to do this first takeout your stereo then get a long dril bit the same size as your LED's them stick it through your vent and drill the whole where you want it . Them put in the LED from behind(don't trust 3M tape on this it won't last real long.I used good old duct tape just a small piece to secure it. Thenon the outer ones take out the speaker and do the same it's easier on these. Then just do your wirring.

I did the same exact thing down to the duct tape!! One other thing you can use instead of a drill bit is a R/C car body reamer. The plastic is very thin so a drill bit is kinda overkill.. I used a Uni-bit.

sounds like it is pretty easy...
on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the hardest and 1 being the easiest...how would you rate the difficulty of the install?

It also says no on or off switch required and will not drain the battery...would you suggest just letting them on all the time won't the battery go dead in a day?

The LEDs will probably only draw between 20 - 80mA depending on the size.. so they would not really hurt the battery unless it was over a very long time..... but I don't like leaving stuff running unnecessarilly (just not clean design to me), so I would just use the ACC power as the source voltage. That way they will turn off with the ignition.

If you think about it your car probably won't be on for 100,000 hours, so I wouldn't worry too much about bulb life.

Hook it up to your parking light circuit.. whats the point of having it on in the day? If you hook up to acc it will be on everytime you start the car, really it servres no purpose for that.

Oh yea...I didn't think about that. Do the wires fot that run in the same place as the acc ones? or do i have to take my turn signal appart?
