Default viper 5000 install question

I started my install....pretty straight forward, but I had a couple of questions:

1) what kind of things could/are the channel 2-6 outputs used for? would I need to put in a relay for example remote window roll down and up? If I dont use any of these channels can I just leave this wiring harness off?

2) vehicle trunk release lead- does this even really work on a scion? Do we have a solenoid or something to pop the hatch up or will it just release the latch?

3) H1/9 Black/White Domelight supervision relay output #30 ----- where does this go and what does it do?

4) H1/12 Orange -500 mA Ground-When-Armed Output ----------same as #3?

5) On the door lock harness looks like this:

H3/A Domelight supervision relay input #87
H3/B Lock #87a Normally Closed
H3/C Lock #30 Common (output)
H3/D Lock #87 Normally Open (input)
H3/E Unlock #87a Normally Closed
H3/F Unlock #30 common (output)
H3/G Unlock #87 Normally open

where do these go? Do I need to use a relay for this or do the commons just go to door unlock and door lock respectively? also on the wiring schematics there is listed power lock/unlock and lock/unlock motor? which one of these should I go to?

I think thats it for now....thanks for all the help! :D

on the scion u need window modules 530t is DEI part # as far as what u can do with the left over chanels is endless the ability of the installer is the only limit.

2) vehicle trunk release lead- does this even really work on a scion? Do we have a solenoid or something to pop the hatch up or will it just release the latch?
i have an XB i hooked up mine but i only half the times opens enough. you would need to install a popper to push open the door.

) H1/9 Black/White Domelight supervision relay output #30 ----- where does this go and what does it do?
that goes to the wire that activates the dome light if you have an XB or a XA you can just tie it in to your door triger than tie H3/A to ground , think of it as an internal relay cuz thats what it is. if u have a TC than the Dome Supervision is a blue wire - L side of fusebox, 6 pin plug, pin 2

4) H1/12 Orange -500 mA Ground-When-Armed Output ----------same as #3?
this wire is what it says it is it will go to ground when armed if you are smart u may find a use for it if not cut it away.

)
On the door lock harness looks like this:

H3/A Domelight supervision relay input #87
H3/B Lock #87a Normally Closed
H3/C Lock #30 Common (output)
H3/D Lock #87 Normally Open (input)
H3/E Unlock #87a Normally Closed
H3/F Unlock #30 common (output)
H3/G Unlock #87 Normally open
all scions up till now have neg. door locks. tie both #87 to ground and use the #30 for the apropret lock and unlock. you will not use the 87a's. you will have to set the system to double pulse unlock if u want to open all the doors at once, or leave it the way it is and unlock just the drivers door press the unlock button one more time in 4 sec. and unlock all. the install manuel will walk you through seting the system features it or you can take it to a DEI dealer and see if tha have a bitriter to program it

3. The black w/ White would go to a relay to drigger it to turn the domelight on when the alarm was disarmed. If you want this feature gonna need to get a relay and I can tell you how to wire it up.
this is not right the brain has built in relay thats what wire H3/A is for you are thinking of last years model

. Doorlocks, heehee hope i dont lose you on this one. There should be 6 wires of the brain for doorlocks. Two purples go into one another and into a fuse, tap this single purlple wire into your ground wire coming off the brain. This is because you need a negative pulse the doorlocks to lock and unlock(unlock actually requires a double unlock pulse, i'll explain more on it later.
That will leave 4 wires, a blue, a green, a white and a brown wire( all have black lines on them). You do not need the white or brown for your car, so cut them off. You will use the blue and green for the door locks, the green goes to lock and the blue to unlock. You will need to find the install manual and read on how to change the unlock to a double pulse, you will also need to use the valet button to do this.
this is also old model stuff does not pretain to the one you have

one last thing dont let people tell you thing are a waist of time if you want to pop open the hatch than its not a waist of time. its not that hard to do.

1. Leave the harness on the brain for future use, if you take it off you could lose it. Window rollup requires a window rollup module and a pain in the butt install. Channells 2 - 6 would be used for remote start add on, windows, trunk pop, and a ton of other things.
2. The trunk unlocks with the doors so just pull the handle to realese. I tried the trunk pop on the rear door and it wasnt worth my time, it need a double pulse to get it to move just a little bit. Once again not worth your time unless you want to get crazy and engineer some crazy stuff.
3. The black w/ White would go to a relay to drigger it to turn the domelight on when the alarm was disarmed. If you want this feature gonna need to get a relay and I can tell you how to wire it up.
4. Orange- ground when armed, on some alram it triggers the relay for the starter kill, but it does not on your alarm, so you dont need it right now. If you added window rollup then you would need it, to trigger the windows to rollup when you armed the car.
5. Doorlocks, heehee hope i dont lose you on this one. There should be 6 wires of the brain for doorlocks. Two purples go into one another and into a fuse, tap this single purlple wire into your ground wire coming off the brain. Hope this helps and makes sense, let me know if you have any questions.

No prob, CC installs Python not Vipers anymore. I didn't see the Domlight input on the doorlock relay, so you are correct on that point. I need to look a the book on this alarm to see how it has changed from previous.

What do you think of it? My local dealer just said it starts at 900 bucks and goes up from there.

Its awesome. I actually took this one out of my honda civic si and put it on the tc. I have been using this alarm for awhile. I spent 180 dollars all together.
