I assume you mean the replacement bulb - not the entire headlight housing. I have always been very happy with Sylvania SilverStars. They are 100% street legal and DOT compliant, they run the stock wattage so they won't melt anything, and they don't just have a coating on them to make them look different. Those coatings actually diminish light output. SilverStars are alot whiter than stock. They aren't HIDs, so if that's what you're expecting, you'll be dissapointed. But (IMHO) they are the best replacement bulb you can get.

Well, I think you succeeded in buying the crappiest bulbs available on the market. My friend used to sell Eurodezigns. They cut visibility in half at night, looked blue (poser HID wannabe bulbs), and blew within a month.

I like Silverstars, they're bright white. Mine lasted at least a year in my last car before I sold it, but my girlfriend's only lasted 9 months, and I've heard others say less than 6 months (though I wonder if maybe they got fingerprints on the bulbs)

PIAA has some nice bulbs, but expensive.

Don't buy some cheap ___ bulbs because of the way they look from the point of view of on-coming-traffic. Buy some quality stuff that is going to improve your visibility at night because, believe it or not, they're supposed to be functional, not for decoration.

I know you said 'not online' sources, but I am with bumpntrunk, get HIR:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

'bout $125 shipped for all 4 bulbs...... These are what I think the best drop in replacement bulbs are....

Best projector comes from the LS430.

Very good projectors are the TL, TSX, and S2k.

im actually not a fan of the ls430

my fav projector is the s2k ... the ls430 is HUGE and cant be used in prolly 80% of headlights .. so that right there makes it a bad choice

also its not as sharp or colorful as the s2k

s2k imo is the best low beam projector all around

and the TL is the best bi-xenon

i think the ls430 is overrated
