Who's got Seat Heaters?
I think heated seats would be a nice mod, I'm looking into installing them when i do my leather. I've found a few kits online and on ebay for around 75-80/seat, and I'm wondering what other people have done.
I'm looking to hear from anyone, not just owners of a particular car.
Thanks!

Did that for my wife's for Christmas. On the cloth too, no leather.
It's way cool because they heat up super fast through the cloth. Only downside is they take a bit of the soft cushion out of the seat.
Hers are High/Low and they make On/Off too. The On/Off are cheaper.
Mine were just under $400 installed. With something like this it pays to have install done because then it will carry some kind of warranty too and if something stops working you can just pin it on the installer instead of having to shoulder the burden 100% yourself.
Good luck!

I was looking at the ones for sale by Jegs.com. The ones they have are carbon fiber and according to the info will heat up faster. Summit also sells them as well. The price for either is about $100 + s/h. They are a must for cars with leather seats. I have the factory ones in my BMW. The lower element is not working, so I was thinking about practicing with the kit to see if I can repair it myself. I think you nee a hog ring puller and installer to make the installation a little easier.. The car is older 1992, so I don't think that I could do much damage.

well, I asked about the switches to hopefully identify the heater kit they installed in pitbull's... I doubt that they gave him a brandname...
which kit are you using, then, munky?
I'm more interested in the kit than how it looks. honestly, i think if seat heaters are done correctly, they wouldn't be visible at all

ok, so from the looks of it, there's really only one aftermarket kit out there, unless everybody just uses the same switches
