Default Window power/switch

Ok, its getting hot and my window still isn't working! Here's the story (I have posted this before, but didn't get too much advice/help)

Window worked fine when I got the car earlier this year, but my battery died, and it stopped, got on here, searched, and found out about the reset thing.... tried that a billion times, didn't work either.

Took it to the dealership, and they said it wasn't getting any power to it, and the tech would have to take the door panel off to diagnose it exactly, but it would cost $80 bucks....

Can someone help me here, I got the wiring diagram from the top of the forum, but its confusing....

A few questions that I have may help me to help you with your problem.
1- Does the master switch still work with the other 3 windows?
2- Does the other 3 windows work with there respective switches?

C'mon! Just pay the $80! We spend WAY MORE than that on our cars for wheels and audio but when it comes to something as a diagnosis charge, we don't pay! Bite the bullet and let Toyota figure it out cause if you don't know what you are doing, you might cause more damage!

haha, Im not under warranty anymore

and these were his exact words to me

"The tech said it looks like this windows not getting any power, he would have to take the door panel off, and diagnose the problem"

ME: Is that gonna cost anything?

Him: "Yes sir, its gonna cost you $80, just to take the door panel off"

ME: Just for the freakin door panel? He's not gonna fix it? He's just gonna take those two screws out the door, and pop it off, look and see maybe whats wrong?

HIM: Yea

ME: Hell NO!

Forklift: Where is the "circuit breaker" at? I've checked both of the fuse boxes already, and all the fuses are good!

Sasnuke: Yes it works all the windows, and locks the doors just fine.

*Also* I checked the solid red, and solid green wire, that the wire diagram says is the power, and my test light shows they are getting no power at all.

I appreciate the help so far, but I live in Mississippi, and it gets ridiculously hot down here! So hurry with more suggestions!

you checked all fuses?

Could you have pinched a wire somewhere along the way?

any mods recently?

Radio, new speakers, amped the speakers, ran 4 guage down driver side.

But still, this happened long before I started modding.

It happened in between the time my battery died, because my alternator went bad, and when I replaced the alternator and new battery...

Also, my "AUTO" button on the driver side window is glowing green, not flashing, but glowin, stays on....

Ok, here we go, we are fixing the window problem.
Step 1 - Remove the master switch on the drivers door with connector still attached. Using a test light, clip it to the door striker as a ground source, with the ignition on, check Pins 6 & 7 (both solid light blue wires for power). If the test light illuminates for both wires go to step 3, if not go to step 2.
Step 2 - Check 10A Gauge & 30A Power fuses are not blown, & repair as necessary. Check POWER Relay by swapping it with another one from vehicle that is the same. There must be power at the 2 light blue wires.
Step 3 - Get a 12v car battery or booster pack, disconnect the connector going to the motor (the one with the solid green & solid red wires). Get 2 lengths of wire, 18 gauge or so is good enough. Using the lengths of wire attach battery positive to the green wire going to the motor & attach the battery negative to the red wire going to the motor. The window should go down, reverse the wires & it should go back up. If the window doesn't move at all, go to step 4, if window goes down & up, go to Step 5.
Step 4 - Replace window motor & recheck window operation.
Step 5 - Replace driver door master switch & recheck window operation.

Good luck, post with results.
