Needed:

1 pirate band-aid
1 cracked windshield (available on every scion)

Be sure that you have the proper supplies and training before attempting this mod.

Step 1: Locate the crack in the windshield. It is normally on the left, middle or right side.




Step 2: Prepare your pirate band-aid.



Step 3: Carefully affix your band-aid *OVER* the crack. Note: most windshield pirate band-aid mod newbies miss the crack, so be careful.



That's it, your windshield is now perfectly modded!

yes that is a very helpful. did you post it in the tech section. i got my crack starting in the middle then making its way to the drivers side. i got to love the small front end

 

Considering the 'Rock Magnet Windshields' we have on our xBs, maybe we should get a group buy going on those pirate band-aids...

I believe in this situation, you would want to resort to gauze pads.

 

Does the pirate band aid come in Solar Yellow? Is it true JDM? What HP gains have you seen attributable to that mod? Sorry to riddle you--but this is a first.

And to think I have wasted all that money on replacing my three cracked windshields when all I needed was a box of bandaids.

...is it the same part number for the xA, and will it effect the drop at all like the Monroe shocks? Also, can you use this if you sparkplugs are gapped at .044?
