Default winISD users gimme some help :)

okay, building a ported box for an idmax 12" which is currently running at 1000 watts rms, but i don't want to make a ported box and get it going to break the sub because of decreased power handling.. it's rated 1800 watts peak, 1000 watts nominal... so how should i do this? will i be able to run it at 1000 watts rms in a ported enclosure?

also, people familiar to winISD, the program that creates box dimensions... how do interpret the vent information.? specifically, "vent length, and cross area."

thanks a lot.

i was recently referred to winisd by vpkb and i used it to design my box. i ported it though, but when you put your sub info in you should be able to pick dimensions for sealed, ported, or bandpass. if you have any questions pm me.
