Anyone know if any iPod's play WMA files? I have a s**t ton of music on my PC in WMA format and my tC has the iPod connection.

iPod no like WMAs. Besides, there's no reason to use anything but AAC, anyway. Smaller file size, better quality... get the converter going.

 

WMA is a MS format.. so im going to take a guess that it will not play... i would suggest converting them to MP3... im not sure if the ipod would play OGG files.. so MP3 would be a safe bet... im sure you can find software to convert WMA to MP3...

 

WMA = No.

But the same goes for the protected AAC files from iTunes - they will not play on non-iPods (though some play your own AACs, just not the ones from iTunes).

or you could just use a simple free to download batch converter and not have any problems.

Itunes for Windows will convert WMAs to AACs or MP3s.
