Default WTF is "signal ground" for a highlevel input?

I'm trying to hook my system together using highlevel inputs and am confused as to what the "signal ground" wire is for? It's a really thin wire that's mixed with all the other highlevel input wires. Should I just connect it to the same place as the normal ground wire?

The signal ground is there to help ground out signals that will interfere with the audio signal travelling through the cables to your amps. Just hook the wire to any ground point
