Boomerang is a plastic piece of $%^&. I just ordered the Zeta that attaches to the seat tracks from my dealer on eBay and I can use my $50 gift card.....

Almost all of the screws in the Boomerang are now stripped. Maybe my fault because I could never get it rock solid to begin with. But it doesn't take much for those screws to come loose and then you can't re-tighten them....they just spin.

Finally - if you do buy the Boomerang, make sure you support the lid when attaching to the base. Mine flipped backward after two screws were in making the holes too large to ever get a real tight fit.

in my mustang, my hand rests on top of the shifter, and with the seat all the way back (that's the only way i can drive without my knees in the dash. mustangs are not tall peoples' cars) my elbow doesn't touch the armrest and it's comfortable for me. maybe it will be the same way in the xB. i doubt it. the shifter in the mustang sits a little higher and further forward than the xB.

6'0" with the OE armrest. I knew it was low before I bought it. I find it acceptable in height. I definitely consider it better than no armrest.

It does not interfere with the e-brake. I don't know if it would be in the way at all with a manual.

I just got my armrest from e-bay. The same one dugzillaxb has photos of except mine has a black stripe rather than silver. There's no installation involved. It's just wedged between the front seats. It's completely covered in black vinyl and allows you to use the rear cup holder. I really like mine. It looks like it came standard with the xB. The only place I could find this particular armrest was on e-bay. The guy listing these is philsonh and he lists them for $128 plus shipping of $24.50 but he takes offers and I got mine for $100 plus the shipping. You can also choose from several different tops too.
