Default XB Floor Storage Sub + Amp

In my quest to find an inexpensive all-in-one amp/sub combo that would fit in the XB rear underfloor storage, I found this;
The Clarion SRV303. 13 x 9 1/16 x 2 7/8 inches overall. I have no idea how it sounds and will most likely look to my local radio shop to hear one. 7" sub powered by 120 Watts.
$250 retail, but they go for about $150 new on ebay.

Here for specs -->http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/CLASRV303

has anyone heard of Collins? Well ive had it for about 4 years and it gives SICK bass. It is a pre-amped 10 inch sub. Cant describe how good it has been to me. Small box with plexi glass / rca outs, and two **** one for volume and one for someother crap! but it is tight !

Creativity costs big bucks. If you're looking at clarion, your budget is obviously limited.

Get a bazooka tube, they're not bad.

Collin is a bazooka knock off, I carried it when I had my own store a few years back. they dont perform well in comparison to the bazooka, We made them sound preety good, I dropped them as soon as we pickup bazooka. Bill

The Kenwood w00x powered sub sells for about the same price and should fit under the front passenger seat. Again, no earth-shaking bass but at least you can use your storage compartment to store stuff :D And you won't have to run quite as much wire.

I think I am missing something here. Clarion makes some very high quality stuff at not so cheap prices. There head units range from ~100 to ~2000 dollars, so how a budget is limited by choosing Clarion is beyond me.

This doesn't help the guy at all...
he said ..."would fit in the XB rear underfloor storage"
the bazooka clearly does NOT fit.

I agree with BravelittleToaster, a custom box in the reaer storage compartment with an amp under one of the front seats would be best. Custom box should run ~$150, sub ~$100 and amp ~$200. Not the cheapest option and of course you can always spend alot more. For the sound you'll get, worht the extra bucks in my opinion.

Default installing this weekend

I found this unit for $150 on Ebay and am installing it this weekend. I'll let you know what I think. If I dont like it in the Xb, I can always put it in the Miata.

I installed this thing yesterday. It will probably be more effective in a car with a smaller interior, but for my purposes, its fine. It gives more bass but not thumping bass and has a cool remote equalizer which is great when you go from am talk to FM hip hop. Worth the $, yes if you install yourself. Oh, btw, you dont need any wiring kit whatsoever. I put it under the passenger side seat where there is a seatbelt wire already there
