XB LED Outside Door Handles... Updated Pics
Here it is. LED Outside door handles. This is how to wire it up, so it functiions exactly like the dome light in the door position.
1.Go to www.newlevelmotorsports.com and purchase PlasmaGlow's LED Door Handle Kit = $30.00
2. Pull out your dome light. There are two wires going into it.
RED/YELLOW - NEGATIVE GROUND
BLUE/YELLOW- POSITVE (Continious Power On)
3. With the Blue Yellow wire, tap in two more wires. Run one wire from the domelight down the side Driver's side Center Pillar (where your seatbelt is), across the door sill and into the Driver Side Door. (Door Panel Removal Required) Run the second wire down the passenger side in the same fashion. *Wire the negative wires from the RED/YELLOW in the exact same way as the positive wires.
NOTE: You start your negative wire from the Door Triggers, but your LEDs won't light up when you unclock your doors with your Keyless Entry/Alarm..
4. The plasmaglow Kit comes with LEDs ready to install. (resistors and plenty of wire).
Clean and prep handles with rubbing alcohol. Determine placement of LED under hanldes. I chose to mount LEDs facing down and as close to the car as possible. The instructions also suggest mounting the LEDs so they face away from the car, but I found this didn't produce as much glow as I wanted.
5. The Door Handles of just big enough of a crack for your LED wires to fit from the outside handle into the door without drilling. Feed all of the wiring in the door BEFORE you stick your LED under the handles. After wires are fed into door and LED is sticked into place (LEDs come with 3M taped back for easy application), then wire you LED wires to the appropiate positve/negative wires you ran from the Dome light.
6. BAM! your set. For the Rear Doors, the LED wires come with enough wire to run them from the Handles and tap them into the Dome Light wires you ran down the side pillars (Pillar that your seatbelts are attached to).
Here are pictures of the final product. These pictures don't even serve justice to what it looks like in real life.

Here is picture of the LEDs under the handles. The plasma glow kit comes with everything pre-assembled and ready to hookup: LEDs, resistors, lots of wiring, t-Taps, and even a switch. To use regular LEDs would require drilling and risk screwing up your handles.

Do you have to pull on the door handles to make them light up? I'm a little unclear on how they would be activated...if the ground wire was wired to the dome would they light up with the keyless/alarm since the dome comes on when you disarm the system?

Wouldn't this be easier to wire from somewhere in the dash area? Seems to me you could wire t out of the fuse box so they come on with your exterior lights. They would actually flash the same way the lights do with the keyless entry. Just a thought.
Just to make it clear. When I unlock my doors with my Viper alarm remote or my keyless entry remote, the dome light turns on.
Since my Leds are wired with the dome light, they also turn on when I unlock the doors with my remote. The doors do not need to be open for the Leds to light up.
I'm sure there is a way to wire it up through the fusebox, but I'm pretty sure the actual domelight fuse sits in the fusebox located in the engine bay.
I'll post more pics soon.

I don't think that is worth $30. You could do the same and even brighter for a couple bucks shipped.

Sorry Oznium, I have to disagree with you. The plasmaglow kit comes with everything you need. With a total of 12 white pre-wired LEDs (3 under each handle) that's already $16 on your website. That doesn't sound like a couple of bucks; not to mention the pain it would be to install them...
