V1SE~.5 Pounds/sq. ft.
V3~.2 Pounds/sq. ft.(if you use the 50 sq. ft. per gallon)

100 sq/ft of fatmat is about $100 plus shipping. I think I paid about 130-140 shipped to PA. Not to bad and it definitely cut down the noise from my DC exhaust.
Here is the other reason for all the sound deadener. The two 2 12" Cadence Subs aren't in there yet, but you can get the idea.

The box is a "U" shape with the speakers on either side. They will fire down into the box. The amp rack is a sub floor and back/covering for the speaker box. There is about 6 inches under the front amp between the sub floor and black plastic filler piece. The box sits down on the floor in the rear. I got the whole setup from phatfront since he got rid of his xB to get a tC.

Alternatives
Hi,
I was thinking that there must be some type of alternative product that would accomplish the same basic goal at a lower cost.....
Has anybody done this with say ummm...indoor/outdoor carpet or some other covering ??
I am finding the mystery rain noise when it rains somewhat distracting when I drive. I can't even pinpoint the origin of the rain noise (front or rear wheel wells..etc)
Thanx....
Dave
