Default xB stock speaker depth

does anybody kno this? i'm lookin for some speakers but i'm not sure about how much room i have for the door ones specificly...i'm lookin at http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...etailComponent those but i wanna kno if they'll fit before i buy em...thanks for your help!

I don't know the exact depth, but I have seen a link where the guy actually measured the depth of the factory speakers, not the hole itself. (try "speaker depth" or something on this site's search)

Those rev's should fit(IMO) b/c i mounted some cdt's in the door and they were about 2.5 " deep.

By the way, you will need to either 1) use a spacer ((scosche makes one that is for i think 2000 and up toyota's, very common or 2) simply cut the factory speakers out of the basket and use the leftover ring as the bracket., or 3) cut some mdf and make your own spacers.

The reason is that the factory "6.5" are actually 6 3/4, so you have to do something. The good thing is that spacers help bring the aftermarket speaker out about 1/2 or 3/4", and help fix that gap problem. The added room will not interfere with the door panel and will help when you use an aftermarket speaker as they will require more mounting depth than stock.
