Default xB Sub Placement - Front seats vs Back Storage

Subs put out mostly omnidirectional bass, which I already know.

Now, volume.. will I need a real killer sub + amp in the back, using a custom thing in the storage area, versus under the front seats?

Will the sub murder whoever sits in the seat (passenger or driver)... ?

If it's under the front seat... up or down?

The under seat boxes I've seen look cool and possibly easier to set up than running all the wiring way back.

I have a spfr enclosure and its great, with a rear sub it gives the bass more room to resonate and there for sounds louder. An under the seat sub i imagine would be more prone to hearing distortion easier.
I chose a cargo area sub and the amp under my seat. It sounds awesome and looks awesome.

I'd also reccommend(sp?) using the cargo area.....simply to utilize the idea of corner firing design......simply put, for some reason, a sub fired into a corner instead of directly at you will be louder......something to do with the way sound waves act(you can study this and calculate exact space needed between the subwoofer and a certain point, to acheive maximum possible SPL, through sine waves i think)

an under seat box probably would be more prone to audible distortion....i'm no expert though.....

I have subs under the seats with the amp in the rear storage area. I think it's best for stealth install and I don't lose any room. If I were really good with fiberglass, I'd probably remove the spare tire and glass some subs in with the amp also in storage in area...
