Default XM Question…

I tried the search, but could not find what I was looking for so here it goes…Will the factory XM Radio option work with an aftermarket deck? I’ve been an XM subscriber for 3 years, my old system (from another car) is being sold, so I was wondering if I bought an aftermarket HU can the XM adapter that’s hooked into the stock HU be used with something like a Pioneer HU or will I have to buy a completely new XM module?

Thanks

Chris

The OEM XM and Sirius tuner will not work on aftermarket radios. Everything is different. There was a post a while back where someone asked the same about the Sirius tuner. I posted pictures of the stock tuner and harness, and the aftermarket one.

There is no way it will work. The only thing that will work is the factory xm/sirius antenna.
